The Matrix

A cool movie I saw was the Matrix.  This movie has a lot of cool scenes of people reacting fast to certain things.

I believe the movie was about an outer dimension that was invented by a hacker to control the world back at home.  In the movie an actor states, “”I’d like to share a revelation that I’ve had during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your species. I realized that you’re not actually mammals. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment, but you humans do not. You move to an area, and you multiply, and multiply, until every natural resource is consumed. The only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet, you are a plague, and we are the cure.”

The most important scene occurs when Neo decides to eat the red pill, which then leads to his wakening from the Matrix. With this scene, the Wachowski Brothers send an important idea within philosophy that has been a part of the discipline since its foundation living.  Most people accept things as they come, but they don’t question why they occurred the way they did.  Some people are optimistic to certain things, and don’t realize the harsh consequences that occur once a negative situation occurred.

The quality of Neo is real significant.  He is trying to save people that are living in a false reality that society made them believe.  This theme can be compared to religions that are diverse like Christianity and Buddhism.  Another theme in this movie is the codes. They can be religious symbols that can be a hindrance to the savior of humanity, but instead the symbols refer to some sort of control.
